A year has passed and I had to hand over my reign to new blood. The quest to find the next Queen ended on the night on 20th May, Tues around 12.15 am (Wed early morning to be exact). Congratulations to Shenise Wong! I wish her all the best and hope the carries the torch with pride and bring home glory!
It was a bitter sweet feeling that night watching this year's pageant and I felt nostalgic all over again. I remember how intense MSU2007 was that night of 22 April. It went by so quickly that U hardly had time to be nervous or think about the scale of being in the pageant for the matter. Every 3 min commercial break was a mad rush to change, touch up make up, change hair style and get into your correct line-up position back stage!
I vividly remember there was a tiny TV screen backstage for the rest who are waiting to watch the girl performing on stage and when U return the girls will tell U your points, the crowds reaction, make up artist advising on how U look on stage etc etc...
I'm happy my year went by very smoothly and I'm proud to say I managed to make use of my title to give back to society in one way or another. I did up a video of my past year and will post it up soon once my friend helps me upload it on YouTube. :)
In the meantime, enjoy the photos of that night!
Co-host for the night - Nadia, Ian & me

As promised!
U can tell from the pictures how windy it was there due to the typhoon that was passing through. Sporadic rain made shooting a whole lot fun! Was running in and out of shelter in the bridal gowns just to capture the "dry" moments! It was hilarious but a whole lot of fun! I looked more like a runaway bride most of the time! *haha*
Enjoy the pics!

The wonderful and creative photographer, Eliza Phua (she shot my LIME mag pics too!)

naughty lil Flying Fox wanted to pick my nose for me!!! *LOL*

We had to take this ferry over from Caticlan to Boracay. (it was a whole 12 hour journey from S'pore! - 2 flights, 1 1.5hr bus ride, a 20min ferry ride, another 30min bus ride to the hotel)

received a warm welcome from the hotel staff when we got there!

Make me pretty!!!

Mexican lunch on our 1st day of shoot.

Check out the HUGE waves in the background!
Love my Nike top! Makes great beach wear cum gym wear!!! So versatile!
This coral decoration is at the restaurant where we shot on the 2nd day. Beautiful ain't it?
Wheeeeeee..............

Goofing around while waiting for lunch on Day 2. *hungry*
A meal worth waiting for!!! Yummy local seafood in sweet sour/ketchup like sauce. My fav is still the fried calamari!!! Mmmmmm.....

Discovery Shore hotel was so wonderful to invite us to a private party just for the staff!
Poor lil animal all caged up... :(

They have a lot of cute friendly strays in Boracay. The locals feed them but they're free to roam!

naughty lil Flying Fox wanted to pick my nose for me!!! *LOL*
My new found friend, Bora! (Bora means bubbles in Tagalog. Hence Boracay = Bubbles Island)

Para-sailing.... Watch him fly!
More seafood lunch on Day 3.
At the Paradiso Grill

That's all folks! Time to fly back to reality!!! :P

Hello!!!
I've not updated my blog for some days now... had a busy week and was very tired from the dance rehearsals for Fei Teng Bing Dian, to photoshoot for a fashion feature in I Weekly, to filming, to auditions, celebrating my birthday and organising stuff for my new home! *pant pant*
Dance rehearsals had been a little tough on me as we are required to learn the dance in a short time and I'm not a very experienced dancer as some - the last time I was officially trained in dance was in primary school for Chinese dance and it's very different from Ballet! Which is the main foundation of the dance I'm learning now! So crash course in Ballet for me! Did Indian dance for President Star Charity last year but that is easy compared to what I'm learning now!!! Hee hee... I've accumulated quite a number of "blue-blacks" on my knee due to the floor work in the dance routine!!! But all in all I actually do enjoy the dance training lessons though I struggle at times but its a great workout and an art I've always loved! (I regretted not taking up ballet when I was younger!)
Here's some photos taken during our rehearsals with Jeanette and the dancers who are really coaching us well!!!

Notice the knee guards I'm wearing!!! Hee that's to prevent more bruises from forming! My knees look "dirty" now cos of it and can't wear my fav short skirts n shorts esp. when the weather's been blazing hot lately!
Speaking of weather.... was filming for a couple of hours with Jeanette the other day in the hot afternoon sun around 1pm outdoors and I was burnt tho' I had sunblock on! Got myself some funky tan lines on my body and arms!! *haha* and today I realised I was actually burnt as my forehead started peeling!!! For a moment I was wondering what's wrong with my skin then I remembered my days in the sun... :P
That's all for now... time to Zzzzz....
Till we meet again!
XOXO
Jess
P.S. I'm in the showdown "Sin City" trailer kicking some ass with the DOND babes!

Wore this cute Louis Vuitton nurse-like outfit during one of the show's segments and took photos of it since it'll never be in the stores as it is a runway show piece!!!
Nice?
Do U like my "enhanced" rear? :P

Just did the Style Weddings fashion show yesterday and it was a blast! This year I had to model 3 different wedding gowns from different bridal boutiques. Had to go through the "quick change" again backstage! I loved all the gowns that I wore... Especially the red one! Very couture...Here are some photos from yesterday....

After the show, Daniel Ong and Jaime Teo got married in the same ballroom!!! In their own words "Don't waste the beautiful stage!" Congratulations D & J!!! So happy for this extremely loving couple... Stayed on to attend their wonderful union and their wedding was really unconventional. In the invites it was already written "Come in your party best!". They surprised us by hosting their own wedding and "sabo-ed" some unsuspecting people didn't know they were going to be impromptu hosts (were pre-chosen by the couple)! E.g. the Flying Dutchman, The Muttons and Irene Ang. Had great entertainment by Kumar, Diya, Jon Leong and many more! Food was fantastic! Music fabulous and most importantly the newly weds were extremely blissful and my favorite moment was when Daniel read out his poem to Jaime! I was tearing up when I heard it as it was sooooo sweet! It's no surprise what's Jaime's reaction was....
Photos of this wonderful wedding will be posted up soon!
Stay tuned...
